Before launch night, settle the boring bits

27 Oct–3 Nov. Check your upgrade purchase. Write backups; you can create up to 3 characters total across all rulesets.
Agree ruleset and faction
Ask friends before creating. Dungeons and raids do not support cross-ruleset groups. Changing rulesets means a new character.
Use the right install path
Battle.net → World of Warcraft → Game Version above Play → World of Warcraft: Forever → Install → Play → choose ruleset.
Do the sleep maths
Europe launches at midnight Wednesday into Thursday. A 06:30 alarm leaves 5½ hours if you sleep at 01:00, before time to fall asleep. Thursday evening is also an option.
Check Blizzard’s install and reservation instructions and rulesets before creating your character.

WoW: Forever launches Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 15:00 PST and 18:00 EST, the same instant as 23:00 UTC. US daylight saving time has ended by launch.
What is the WoW: Forever launch time in the UK and EU?
The UK launch is 23:00 GMT on Wednesday 4 November 2026. Central Europe launches at 00:00 CET on Thursday 5 November; Eastern Europe at 01:00 EET. It is Wednesday night into Thursday.
When does WoW: Forever launch in Australia and New Zealand?
Sydney launches at 10:00 AEDT on Thursday 5 November 2026. Auckland launches at 12:00 NZDT that day. Other Australian time zones differ; use the local-time line above.
